National Accounts Manager, Off-Premise
The moment that changed my career path was on my first visit to the famed wine regions of Napa and Sonoma. It was a relatively mild February afternoon, while the weather was cooler for Napa it still wasn’t as cold, or snowy, as the weather in my hometown of Chicago. Being out in the vineyards, only to see the trellis systems at stage of the vine cycle, was so exciting that I knew I wanted to specialize and focus solely on all things wine. That moment fueled my passion for wine. I made it my goal to learn as much as possible to be able to adapt and thrive in an ever-evolving and exciting industry. I have also been fortunate enough to travel and experience the renowned wine regions of Chile, Argentina, France and Austria, with many more to come. No matter which country’s vineyards I’m in, I still get the same excitement that I had on my first vineyard experience.
Having previously been in the restaurant business, I often found myself wondering what it would be like to call restaurants as opposed to working in them. After college my curiosity turned into a reality. My first step into the wine industry was at Wirtz Beverage Illinois in the on premise arena selling their total portfolio. From there, I transitioned onto the dedicated wine team in the off premise channel. The next step in my journey has brought me here to Folio. I am still thrilled at the opportunity to work for such an outstanding company with such a wonderful group of people and being able to represent such excellent brands.
Outside of wine my other passion in life is my daughter Chloe, she is an amazing little girl with such a great sense of humor. I enjoy spending time with her and watching her grow up.
