Coppo L'Avvocata Barbera d'Asti

Piemonte, Barbera d’Asti DOCG

This wine takes its name from the previous owner of the vineyards, a female attorney ("avvocata" in Italian). She was severe, authoritarian and rigid; to everyone simply Ms. Attorney. The wine is named after her, though this young, vivacious Barbera is at odds with its serious namesake.

The wine is named after her, though it could sound strange that a young, carefree Barbera is still evoking her seriousness.
